At this point in your pregnancy, your baby is 7-8 inches long, about the length of an ear of corn. During this phase, your baby begins to suck their thumb and grow a beautiful soft downy layer of hair, known as lanugo, to protect themselves. A layer of brown fat and teeny tiny capillaries add to the ever-growing life force energy beginning to infuse through your baby.
