We hosted 15 people for 5 days over Thanksgiving, with 10 staying in our house. Our home was full from morning to night — conversations, constant cooking, shifting plans, and some very big personalities moving around each other.
From Wednesday through Friday, I tested out the new Diaphragmatic Breath Medigraytion®. Those were the busiest days — cooking, coordinating, and keeping the energy steady. That breath kept my physiology organized while everything around me kept moving. It worked geniusly.
By Saturday, the emotional texture deepened significantly (the gentle way of saying there was a disagreement). The conversations were more intense, and the overall tone was layered with family dynamics (the gentle way of saying that the dispute led to a blow-up). This is when I shifted to the Grounded Gratitude Medigraytion®.
That gratitude meditation, which I did quietly as things heated up, changed the quality of my presence. I could feel almost immediate warmth through my chest and a steadiness through my breath as I started to experience some really old somatic memories from my childhood.
As the weekend unfolded, it became clear how natural it is to use Medigraytions the way I use spices — choosing a blend that matches the body state or the emotional landscape I need.
I’d love to suggest that you bookmark these two Medigraytions and give this a try during the December holidays to keep you sane.
With Love,
Laura
PS. I want to add that my family is incredible! In the end, we talked it through and all hugged it out. There was remarkable awareness of why the disagreement happened, how it built, and the phenomenal healing the release had for all of us.
